A week ago this past Friday the Office of Management and Budget released its scheduled Mid-session Review, a report to congress on how the nation and the government are faring on income and expense, economic growth, unemployment and the like. It isnīt pretty which explains a Friday afternoon release. The White House obviously wanted as little reporting as possible. It worked. I googled the news on it and found not a single reference in the main stream media. Not that it is really news. We already know we expect to be running trillion dollar deficits far into the future and unemployment to remain at recession levels for years. The only difference is the new projections are somewhat worse than the last ones.
The amazing thing to me is that neither the president nor the congress has put forward any ideas for how to turn things around. They all seem reconciled to an America with its best days behind it.

The Bouse Gold property includes 360 acres of mining claims (18 lode claims) in the Plomosa Mining District, two miles west of the town of Bouse, in La Paz County, Arizona. The land is administered by the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM). It is a former Homestake Gold (Barrick) project which includes the historic Little Butte, Flat Fault and Arrastre Mines. There are numerous shafts, pits and dumps on the property. Reportedly, a majority of the Plomosa Mining District´s historic gold production came from the Company´s Little Butte Mine.
